P.E.C.A Opens Office in Kabul

In order for P.E.C.A to be sustainable, it can no longer be completely run by volunteers in America and in Afghanistan. Once we decided on what needs to be done in 2010, we also agreed that we need full time staff on the ground here in Afghanistan to accomplish our goals.

P.E.C.A welcomes Dr. Masood to the post of Program Director. Dr. Masood has been volunteering for P.E.C.A for the last five years. He comes from Khost and is respected in the community for his diligence and integrity. He speaks both of the Afghan national languages - Pashto and Dari - fluently, and his English is very good.

P.E.C.A also welcomes Mr. Habibullah as our Accountant. Given our plans for 2010, it is essential for us to have someone on staff who can keep track of our income and expenses. In addition, Mr. Habib helps Dr. Masood with any work that is necessary.

We also now have an office. It is a modest beginning. We have rented one room from Afghans4Tomorrow, another organization doing good work in Afghanistan.

Please welcome our staff and wish them success in their work to take P.E.C.A to its next level of growth.

Board Meeting

Our next board meeting is on May 12th, 2010. All of our meetings are open to the public. If you would like to attend the meeting, please contact us at info@afghanmodelschool.org. We would love to have you join us.
